Sorry 'bout that, hon. I didn't mean to kill you.
This is a follow-up to a story I posted HERE about some drunken tweeker that accidently Xed out his old lady with a little friendly fire incident.

Calif. man in 'cannon' death says he's 'so sorry'
EL CAJON, Calif. (AP) -- A man charged with murder for firing a cannon-like device that killed his girlfriend said in a jailhouse interview Friday that he wants a time machine to go back and keep from firing it, and he wishes he'd been the one killed instead.
"I'm just so sorry, if I could just go back in time I would've never done it," Richard Dale Fox told NBC San Diego (http://bit.ly/xJLteN ) through tears. "I just wish that the damn thing had hit me instead of her, you know?"
Fox, 39, was drinking with friends in the San Diego County town of Potrero on Tuesday when he set off the device, sending shrapnel into his trailer that killed 38-Jeanette Ogara, who was his girlfriend and the mother of his 4-year-old daughter, prosecutors said.
In addition to murder, Fox was charged Thursday with exploding a destructive device and with child endangerment, because the little girl was also in the trailer. She was not hurt.
He pleaded not guilty to all three charges.
"My concern now is my daughter," Fox said in the interview. "I mean, I know she's OK now, but what am I going to tell her?"

What the fuck kind of system do we have where a motherfucker gets drunk, shoots off a cannon, kills his woman, destroys his trailer, admits it and apologizes for it and then pleads NOT GUILTY???
Hey, check this shit out: If you're really truly sorry, how 'bout you man the fuck up and plead guilty and accept the consequences of your actions? Even if it was just bad judgement on your part, you deserve to spend the rest of your life in prison - I damned sure don't want your stupid ass driving the same streets as me and my family after what you did to yours.
It's true. Barney Frank moves to Kalifornia.
And here's the fucking proof

Thought Control 2012
(The London Free Press) — A common prescription drug used to treat high blood pressure may also curb racist thoughts, a new U.K. study suggests.
University of Oxford researchers found people who took the drug propranolol showed less implicit racism — automatic, subconscious bias — than those who took a placebo.
Half of study participants were given the drug and the other half received a placebo. They were given prejudice tests before, during and after taking the pills. Participants were asked to quickly categorize positive and negative words with the faces of back and white people.
Although just 36 white men and women took part in the study, it provides new evidence about the processes in the brain that shape implicit racial bias, co-author Sylvia Terbeck said.
“Given the key role that such implicit attitudes appear to play in discrimination against other ethnic groups, and the widespread use of propranolol for medical purposes, our findings are also of considerable ethical interest,” she said.

I wonder how long it will be now before doctors are "encouraged" to swap out current BP meds for this stuff?
I take Atenolol for my blood pressure. To check and see if you're taking the other shit, I have taken a moment to look it up.
Propranolol (INN) is a sympatholytic non-selective beta blocker. Sympatholytics are used to treat hypertension, anxiety and panic. It was the first successful beta blocker developed. Propranolol is available in generic form as propranolol hydrochloride, as well as an AstraZeneca and Wyeth product under the brand names Inderal, Inderal LA, Avlocardyl (also available in prolonged absorption form named "Avlocardyl Retard"), Deralin, Dociton, Inderalici, InnoPran XL, Sumial, Anaprilinum (depending on marketplace and release rate), Bedranol SR (Sandoz).

That would be the last thing I would want to hear
(Reuters) - A female flight attendant who started ranting about a possible crash over the public address system of an American Airlines plane on Friday was subdued by passengers and crew as the plane returned to the gate, passengers said.
The incident at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport led the pilot to taxi back to the gate, where police and FBI agents took the unidentified flight attendant for a psychiatric evaluation, airport spokesman David Magana said.

Fel's mangy coyote
Fel sent this in as a comment to an earlier post. This wasn't a sport shooting, this was a predation shoot, the coyote had been killing his chickens.
Notice how mangy this rascal is. Bald patches on his side and no hair on the tail. He was actually doing this dog a favor when he shot and killed it. Once they're manged up that bad, they won't make through another winter.
Fully 90% of the coyotes I've shot have been mangy. I shot one a couple of years ago that had some mange visible when I walked up, but when I flipped him over, he had no hair at all on the other side, nothing but scabs and festering sores.
As a side note, I've been told by folks that know that mange is not natural in coyotes, that it's spread by domesticated dogs. I find that curious as most of the coyotes I've shot have had mange, yet I can't remember the last time I saw a domesticated dog with the disease, even farm dogs.
Mange is caused by tiny little mites that burrow into the skin, so if you ever do run across something like this, do not touch it. Don't take the chance of taking that shit home with you., hiding in your clothes. If you want to check your exit wound, flip it with a stick.

More Coyote tips from Dogbreath
I always look forward to Dogbreaths' email coyote hunting tips, coming in about twice a month.
Coyote hunting is pretty much regional - what works here won't work there and I'm not arrogant enough to claim I know all the tricks.I don't give a fuck what you think you know about any subject, there's always something you can learn. Always.
Out here where I hunt, I can generally see 'em coming in from a few hundred yards and watch them until I can take a shot. Where Dogbreath hunts, it's timber and you have to be extra stealthy and quick on the draw. By reading the tips he sends, I'll at least stand a chance of bringing them in up in the timber.
Keep in mind that these tips work for all predators, not just coyotes.
*****
One serious success robbing mistake for a coyote hunters is to carelessly and recklessly approach an area to call. The facts are that when walking to your planned calling location if a coyote hears you, smells you or sees you, you won't call that coyote in. Stealth is the key. If two or more coyote hunters are moving to a stand you need to walk close together in a single file. You want want to leave one scent trail and as small of a human profile as possible. Don't spread apart and walk side-by- side. If you're walking in the snow one hunter leads and breaks trail while the others follow closely behind trying to walk in each other's steps. This will leave one scent trail and much less noise.
Eastern coyote hunters are often hunting areas of fields mixed in with small wood lots. It is worth the time and effort to take the long away around following a tree line or fence row rather than cutting across an open area taking the shorter route to your stand. Walking across an open field and exposing yourself is just a bad idea when coyote hunting.
The number of coyote hunters in the field can also affect your success percentages. One coyote hunter is good. Two coyote hunters can be good or better depending on the set up. Three coyote hunters cut your chances of success in half. Four noisy smelly coyote hunters moving into a calling stand will lower your success rate by 75%.
One of the most important aspects of coyote hunting is developing a sense of wind direction and understanding how it will play into a successful coyote hunt.
Here are three key things you need to consider:
1. Never approach your hunting spot if the wind is going to blow your scent into the area that you expect the coyotes to be in. Even if there is only a 5 mile per hour breeze, coyotes more than a mile away can smell you. Your coyote hunt will be over before you even start. If you can't get into your calling spot because of poor wind direction it's best to save that hunting location for a later date when the wind will be more favorable. The chances are if a coyote gets downwind no matter what you did your hunt will be over. Unless you're quick on the trigger or can hit a coyote running at 40 mph it's best to avoid any chance for the coyote to get downwind.
2. When you do set up, remember that 99% of the time coyotes will attempt to circle downwind of the sound you are using. They are trying to confirm with their noses what their ears are hearing. You will want to be able to see them when this happens. You need to set up where you have shooting opportunities as they circle toward the downwind side.
3. Always try to pick a downwind area that might allow a coyote a little bit of security as it approaches yet, still allows you a shot opportunity. Coyotes do not like to expose themselves and prefer moving in cover. Your goal is to let the coyote do what its instincts tell it to do. Often a coyote hunter tries to get a coyote to go against its natural instincts. Each time you try and get a coyote to go against its instincts you decrease your percentage of success. If you put up enough hurdles and make enough mistakes you will whittle your odds of calling in and shooting a coyote down to zero.
Your hunt starts the second you park your vehicle. If you think a coyote can see your vehicle from where you plan to set up or from where they might approach, don't park there. Coyotes are very leery of vehicles. Park your vehicle out of site and downwind from your hunting area.
Do not slam the doors; quietly push them shut. You're dealing with an animal that can hear a mouse squeak from 300 yards away. Once you're out of the vehicle, whisper or don't talk at all. If you're hunting with partners, now is not the time to stand outside your vehicle and discuss the details. This should have been done during the drive. Walk carefully and quietly to your calling spot using the terrain and available cover.
Successfully calling in and shooting coyotes requires you to follow a whole list of dos and don'ts. The more things you do right the more you increase your odds of coyote hunting success.
Now go shoot some coyotes!

Fucking Okies, I swear.
There's a guy out at work that puts his windshield reflector up every morning when he gets to work and puts his lunch on top of that. When he comes out for lunch 5 hours later, his chow is steaming hot.
That way he doesn't have to go up to the breakroom to heat his lunch up and then go out afterwards to the parking lot for a smoke.

The election of President Barack Obama in 2008 triggered an explosion in the number of militias and so-called patriot groups in the United States, the Southern Poverty Law Center reported in its annual tally of such anti-government organizations.
There were 149 militias and patriot groups when Obama took office, compared to more than 1,200 today — an increase of 755 percent, the nonprofit civil rights organization reported.

What not to say to 911 or the cops after a shooting
[Click here to listen the 911 call made from a private residence in Springville Utah where a home owner shot and killed an invader.] This series has long argued that there are two parts to armed self-defense. Defending yourself against a lethal threat and defending yourself against prosecution for defending yourself against a lethal threat. Just as the first rule of a gunfight is have a gun, the first rule for staying out of jail and/or losing everything you own due to defensive gun use is STFU (Shut The F Up). That rule starts from the moment you call the cavalry. Here’s the 411 on 911 . . .
1. Make the call as short as possible
911 operators are trained to keep the caller on the line as long as they can, until the first responders make the scene. You are under no legal obligation to remain in contact with the operator.
By the same token, the 911 operators are trained to extract as much information from the caller as possible. You are under no legal obligation to answer any of the operator’s questions.
f you’re in the middle of a Defensive Gun Use (DGU) talking to a 911 operator is not a particularly good use of your time (as opposed to say hiding, running or fighting). If it’s a post-game show, you don’t want anything you say to be used against you in a court of law. And yet everything you say to a 911 operator can and will be used against you in a court of law.
It’s also the way you say it. In the example above, the caller laughs nervously. Well, you and I think it’s a nervous laugh. A prosecutor might convince a jury to hear it another way. Hint: not a good way.
So communicate the basic information necessary: the situation (there’s an intruder in my house/there’s been a shooting), your address, a description of yourself and the medical condition of a wounded friendly (if applicable). After that? Nada. What else do the cops need to know? Nothing. Not a damn thing.
2. Either hang up or put the phone down as soon as possible
Once you’ve shared the key info, either hang up or put the phone down. The former is the best strategy if the DGU is done. The latter is the best option if the situation is in progress.
If you throw the phone down—an excellent idea from a strategic/situational awareness point of view—remember that you’re being recorded.
Use that to your advantage. If it’s safe to do so, yell a warning to the intruder. “The police are on their way. I’ve got a gun. Don’t make me me shoot you.” Over-zealous prosecutors hate that stuff. Juries love it.
Again, it’s not just what you say, but how you say it. If you start swearing, laughing (even nervously) or go for some Clint Eastwood-like line before pulling the trigger, that will NOT work out well for you.
3. Do not discuss the 911 call with the cops
Police/detectives arriving on scene will try to extract as much information from you as possible. The cops may try and use information from the 911 call to get you to talk before you lawyer up. Lawyer up. Tell them “My life was in danger” and “I will answer all your questions after I speak with my attorney.” And . . . that’s it. Nothing else.
Don’t be fooled by 911 operators’ good intentions (which are beyond doubt). They are not trying to get you into trouble. But by God they can.
I know it’s difficult not to tell a helpful stranger anything they want to know in a time of grave danger. But give them the basics and STFU. Don’t give law enforcement and the perp’s lawyer the ammunition they need to turn you from an armed self-defender into a victim of the legal system.

Going back to #3, I once had the opportunity to talk with an attorney that was also a former prosecuter and he gave me some free legal advice. Yeah, it was free - we were seriously fucked up. Some of it dealt with what's posted, but the most important part was what to do after the cops show up to a shooting, whether it's in your home or in the fucking grocery store.
His advice? I quote: "Shut the fuck up. Do not say a word about the incident."
He went on to explain that you should tell the Man that you respectfully decline to give a statement until you have a chance to talk to your attorney. His reasoning was that if you give a statement in front of a dozen cops that are there and listening, there's going to be 12 different versions of what you said and your attitude when you said it. If you consult with an attorney, there's going to be one version.
Sure, the cops are going to be pissed because you're not "cooperating" and yes you will go to the police station, but fuck 'em. A night downtown at the cop shop beats the fuck out of 20 years in San Quentin.
No, it does not. Not even close.

FBI director: Have to check whether targeted killing rule is outside US only
Published March 07, 2012
| FoxNews.com
FBI Director Robert Mueller on Wednesday said he would have to go back and check with the Department of Justice whether Attorney General Eric Holder's "three criteria" for the targeted killing of Americans also applied to Americans inside the U.S.
Pressed by House lawmakers about a recent speech in which Holder described the legal justification for assassination, Mueller, who was attending a hearing on his agency's budget, did not say without qualification that the three criteria could not be applied inside the U.S.
"I have to go back. Uh, I'm not certain whether that was addressed or not," Mueller said when asked by Rep. Kevin Yoder, R-Kan., about a distinction between domestic and foreign targeting
Yoder followed up asking whether "from a historical perspective," the federal government has "the ability to kill a U.S. citizen on United States soil or just overseas."
"I'm going to defer that to others in the Department of Justice," Mueller replied.
Indeed, Holder's Monday speech at Northwestern University seemed to leave the door open. While Holder speaks of Americans who lead al Qaeda overseas, the implications of the speech seem broad.
"First, the U.S. government has determined, after a thorough and careful review, that the individual poses an imminent threat of violent attack against the United States; second, capture is not feasible; and third, the operation would be conducted in a manner consistent with applicable law of war principles," Holder said.
Holder said the feasibility of capturing a U.S. citizen terrorist is "fact-specific and potentially time-sensitive."
"Given the nature of how terrorists act and where they tend to hide, it may not always be feasible to capture a United States citizen terrorist who presents an imminent threat of violent attack. In that case, our government has the clear authority to defend the United States with lethal force," he said.
Three Americans were killed last year when lethal force was used against American cleric Anwar al-Awlaki. Awlaki is credited with helping plot the foiled Christmas Day bombing of Northwest Flight 253 by Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab and inspiring the Fort Hood shooting. The two others killed -- his son and a cohort who published his online terror magazine "Inspire" -- were considered by the U.S. to be collateral damage.
Asked about Mueller's response, the Justice Department said the answer is "pretty straightforward."
"The legal framework (Holder) laid out applies to U.S. citizens outside of U.S.," said a spokeswoman pulling excerpts from the attorney general's speech.
Holder said the circumstance were legal when it is a case of "an operation using lethal force in a foreign country, targeted against a U.S. citizen who is a senior operational leader of al Qaeda or associated forces, and who is actively engaged in planning to kill Americans.
The circumstances "are sufficient under the Constitution for the United States to use lethal force against a U.S. citizen abroad," Holder added.
However, the attorney general, referencing legal authority in the War on Terror that dates back to the George W. Bush administration, said the Obama administration is not bound to a particular battlefield.
"Neither Congress nor our federal courts has limited the geographic scope of our ability to use force to the current conflict in Afghanistan," he said.
Holder argued in his remarks that it is "simply not accurate" that the president must get permission from a federal court before taking action against a United States citizen terrorist.
"Due process and judicial process are not one and the same, particularly when it comes to national security. The Constitution guarantees due process, not judicial process," he said.
But Jonathan Turley, a law professor at George Washington University, wrote in Foreign Policy magazine on Wednesday that Holder's remarks not only would be seen by the framers of the Constitution as "the very definition of authoritarian power," but were met "not with outcry but muted applause."
"Holder's new definition of 'due process' was perfectly Orwellian," Turley wrote. "What Holder is describing is a model of an imperial presidency that would have made Richard Nixon blush. ...
"Where due process once resided, Holder offered only an assurance that the president would kill citizens with care. While that certainly relieved any concern that Obama would hunt citizens for sport, Holder offered no assurances on how this power would be used in the future beyond the now all-too-familiar 'trust us' approach to civil liberties of this administration," he wrote.

I wrote Feinstein something like 4 months ago about Fast & Furious.
She just now got around to responding with a form letter.
Dear Mr. Lane:
Sincerely yours,
Dianne Feinstein
United States Senator
She just now got around to responding with a form letter.
*****
Dear Mr. Lane:
Thank you for your letter urging that a special prosecutor be appointed to investigate Attorney General Eric Holder. I appreciate the time you took to write and welcome the opportunity to respond.
As you may be aware, Attorney General Holder testified at a Department of Justice Oversight hearing before the House Judiciary Committee on May 3, 2011. At that hearing, Congressman Darrell Issa(R-CA) asked Mr. Holder when he first learned of Fast and Furious. Mr. Holder responded, "I'm not sure of the exact date, but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks." Additionally, when Representative Jason Chaffetzasked the Attorney General when he learned of Fast and Furious, Mr. Holder reiterated that he was unsure.
On November 8, 2011, during a Department of Justice oversight hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, the Attorney General elaborated on his testimony before the House Judiciary Committee. In response to a question from Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-VT), Mr. Holder clarified that he became aware of "Fast and Furious" in February 2011 and could have been clearer in his testimony before the House.
After reviewing the Attorney General's testimonies, it does not appear to me that he perjured himself. Mr. Holder's uncertainty about the dates he learned of Fast and Furious—which he himself admitted—does not, in my view, rise to the level of perjury.
As the Attorney General has acknowledged, there were problems with Fast and Furious. You may be interested to know that the Department of Justice Inspector General is currently investigating the operation and hopefully that investigation will provide a comprehensive analysis of what went wrong and how the ATF can avoid similar problems in the future.
While we may have different perspectives on this particular issue, I respect your opinion. If you have further comments or questions, feel free to contact my staff in Washington, D.C. at (202) 224-3841 or visit my website at http://feinstein.senate.gov.

Alcohol, Trailer Trash, Cannon. What could possibly go wrong?
POTRERO (CBS) — A woman was killed early Tuesday when her lover, who had allegedly been drinking, accidentally shot a homemade cannon into the couple’s home.
Homicide detectives with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the 38-year-old woman’s death, which took place in the 25000 block of Potrero Valley Road, near the California-Mexico border.
Authorities say she was found dead at 12:15 a.m. after a cannonball slammed into a residence at the Twin Lakes Resort mobile home park.
It appears the accident happened after Richard Fox, 39, reportedly filled the cannon with powder from fireworks and was tinkering with it. It is unclear whether Fox was the victim’s boyfriend or husband.
“They had a large-sized hole in the side of the trailer,” Mike Moller of Cal Fire told KNX 1070′s Tom Reopelle.
The woman’s four-year-old daughter and three other adults were inside the trailer when the cannon sent shrapnel into the home. No one else was hurt.
Fox was treated for shrapnel injuries and then arrested on charges of causing an explosion that lead to a death.

I'd kill to see that report
A conservative legal group is suing the U.S. Air Force for access to first lady Michelle Obama's travel records from a 2010 vacation to Spain.
Judicial Watch filed suit Tuesday in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia for access to all records pertaining to an August 2010 vacation taken by the first lady and her daughters — including cost estimates and passenger manifests.
"Evidently, American taxpayers were stuck with a sizable bill so Mrs. Obama could tour around Spain with her family and friends, This administration, as a supposed steward of taxpayer dollars, has an obligation to disclose the full costs of the Obama family’s luxury trip," said Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton in a statement.
The White House has insisted that the Spanish vacation was paid for by the Obama family — but taxpayers generally pick up the tab for security and other assorted costs.

Week One without Miss Lisa report
Well, Miss Lisa's been gone for an entire week today and I have to say that while I miss her mightily and can't wait for her to get back, I'm doing all right for myself.
I haven't been in a car wreck although I am long overdue for a vehicle totaling, I haven't gotten deathly ill, I haven't been shot stabbed raided or dogbit. I have not lost a dime rolling dice. I haven't tumbled down a hillside or into a lake (overdue on both of those, too) or slipped in the shower.
I've even done some good things too.
I cleaned the bathrooms, did the dishes every night, wired up some security lights for the backyard, vacuumed the floors, made the bed last week, watered the plants and my fucking bowel movements are regular and healthy. Plus, I even broke down and finally added a vegetable to my dinner of meat tonight. A potato - well, frozen steak fries - but still...... Great big thick motherfuckers too, with lots of ketchup which I should probably add as a vegetable too, huh?
Eating all of them veggies all of a sudden is probably going to fuck up my regular and healthy bowel movements, you watch.
Wiring those security lights was one of those 30 minute jobs that took me about 2 hours.
I had a really big spot between the drive through gate and the back of the house that was in deep shadows and I wanted to take care of that. Not a problem, the garage has a few outlets as well as light fixtures that I can tap into. Okay, I have never plugged anything in or put in any light bulbs anywhere in thegarage great big storage shed so after I wire the fixture up I hook up into of the outlet boxes and....... nothing. What the fuck? I checked it and it was dead. Not only was it dead but so was every other socket except one in the entire garage and that looks like it was hooked into the one in the ol' lady's laundry room on the other side of the wall. I pulled the fuses again and then climb up on a stepladder to check the wiring and Oh My God I can see why it wasn't working. The fucking place was wired with scrap wire, I shit you not, there was 5 feet of 14 gauge spliced into 12 feet of knob and tube and even a motherfucking extension cord up there and this shit was running everywhere all over the rafters. You gotta be fucking kidding me.
And on top of that, there's a million black widows and their egg sacs up here with me. Motherfuckers were everywhere.
So I start crawling around with my flashlight, tracing this and that before I finally found a wire that looked lit it was the main wire and cut it and put wire caps on it, then checked the one live socket I found to make sure it was wired up right and just wired my lights right into there. Fuck the rest of that, I'll wire that garage next weekend. I'm not an electrician but I can run lights and sockets using new shit, you know?
But let me tell you what, those photo cell lights have that backyard lit up brighter than San Quentin, baby. Fuckinggrass weeds are going to go up in flames from the heat from the lamps.....
Hopefully next week's report will be just as good. She's due back next Monday evening and it'll be good to have her home again even though I know I'm going to catch hell for the dust and dog hair and dirty floors and skidmarks on the furniture and whatnot.
Okay, I have never plugged anything in or put in any light bulbs anywhere in the
And on top of that, there's a million black widows and their egg sacs up here with me.
Fucking

Well, this explains a lot.
Evie, the former nanny of U.S. President Barack Obama, stands at the doorway of her room at a boarding house in a slum in Jakarta, Indonesia on Jan. 27, 2012. Evie, who was born a man but believes she is really a woman, has endured a lifetime of taunts and beatings because of her identity.
Evie was 8-year-old Barry's caretaker, playing with him and bringing him to and from school.Evie, who has faced a lifetime of taunts and beatings because of her identity, says that she has now decided it's better to hide her true feelings.
Neighbors recalled that they often saw Evie leave the house in the evening fully made up and dressed in drag. But she says it's doubtful Barry ever knew.
"He was so young," says Evie. "And I never let him see me wearing women's clothes. But he did see me trying on his mother's lipstick, sometimes. That used to really crack him up."

No wonder his shit's so fucked up. But this sure does explain why he married such a manly looking domineering woman.
Thanks to Murray for the link.
He's lost his identity
I've got a reader that was wondering if somebody can help him out with a blogger issue.
He's got an avitar but when he comments all that shows up is the orange blogger symbol next to his name instead of his bad-ass avitar.
Now I know this isn't a matter of life or death but it is one of those things that gets to a man. He found an icon that he likes, uploaded it, posts a comment and and and....... it's the same deal. He tries to correct it and nothing happens. He tries again. Nothing. He shoots his computer. Still nothing.
He then goes on a rampage, ramming cars, running over evil cats and the next thing we know, he's occuppying an ice cream parlor out of frustration.
We don't want that to happen. Can anybody help him out with something so simple that we're both overlooking it?

Why isn't Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson protesting this racist act?
A 13-year-old boy who police say was doused with gasoline and lit on fire last week while walking home from school is recovering from first-degree burns to his face and head.
The boy was just two blocks from his home in Kansas City Tuesday when two teenagers began to follow him and then attacked him, his mother, Melissa Coon, said.
Police have described the suspects as black 16-year-olds, while the victim is white.
"We were told it's a hate crime," Coon told KTLA.
"They rushed him on the porch as he tried to get the door open," Coon told KMBC. "(One of them) poured the gasoline, then flicked the Bic, and said, 'This is what you deserve. You get what you deserve, white boy.'"
By lighting the gasoline, the second attacker "produced a large fireball burning the face and hair" of the boy, according to a Kansas City Police Department report obtained by KCTV.
"It was pretty bad stuff," Detective Stacey Taylor told the TV station, adding that police are concerned the boy may have suffered damage to his eyes and lungs.
Coon said her son put out the fire with his shirt and called 911 himself. He was rushed to the hospital and was treated for his injuries.
She believes the students also attend East High School with her son, and said he will not be returning to the school. She also told KMBC her traumatized family plans now plans to move.
"My 5-year-old came in and asked me, 'Mom, am I going to get set on fire today?'" Coon said. "I was in tears."

I think it's ironic the boys' last name is Coon.

And the rush is on
I posted about the Great Ammo Shortage of 08 last night and wake up to this today.
I must be getting psychic. We're not seeing it here yet but Kalifornia always a little behind times when it comes to gun trends.
Excuse me while I go buy some ammo. Big 5 has 223 on sale of $7.99 a box.

Gun sales are booming across Texas, and some buyers say their growing belief that President Barack Obama's re-election is inevitable is fueling their race to bear more arms.
So brisk have sales been that the rush has created a nationwide shortage of firearms and ammunition, the Star-Telegram reports. Fort Worth gun shop owner DeWayne Irwin said the rush is similar to one seen shortly after the president's 2008 election.
Alan Korwin, author of nine books on gun laws and operator of a gun laws website, tells the Star-Telegram that some are worried that Obama's re-election would embolden a major gun control push.
Korwin said people worry that if Obama wins "he will go after firearms in a way we have never seen before." He added the belief is fueled by perceived disarray in the field of candidates for the Republican presidential nomination.

And this:
FORT WORTH -- Gun sales are booming.
Enthusiasts are stocking up on guns and ammunition, and some in the industry are wondering whether sales are spiking as they did after Democrat Barack Obama won the presidency in 2008.
That rush created a nationwide shortage.
"We're at the top of the roller coaster and we're about to plummet down the side," said DeWayne Irwin, owner of the Cheaper Than Dirt gun store in north Fort Worth, which set a sales record for the month of February. "It's fixing to happen again. I don't know if it will be to the same extent it was before, but I see it coming.
"Look who the Republicans are trying to put against Obama," he said. "It's the Keystone Kops and people are getting scared. People are terrified he's going to get re-elected and then he won't care about getting votes next time. He'll just pass whatever legislation he wants."
Some say the uptick in sales at gun stores could also be linked to anything from the arrival of tax refunds to a spending spree by fans of the National Geographic Channel's Doomsday Preppers show, which chronicles people preparing for the end of the world.
Nationwide, more people than ever are buying firearms.
Last year, the FBI received more than 16.3 million inquiries from people running criminal background checks on potential gun buyers. That's up from 12.7 million in 2008 and 11.4 million in 2007, FBI records show.
Texas had around 1 million such requests in each of the past four years, the second most, behind Kentucky, which had nearly double that. Officials say Kentucky's numbers are high because fresh background checks are run every month there on gun owners with concealed-weapons permits.
"I'm constantly getting questions from people in the gun community about this [issue]," said Alan Korwin, author of nine gun law books, including Gun Laws of America, and operator of gunlaws.com. "People are concerned that if Obama wins, as a lame duck, he will go after firearms in a way we have never seen before.
"We saw a fire sale when he was elected last time," he said. "But the speculation is that now ... with his need to get re-elected gone, the sky is the limit on attacking the Second Amendment."

Something for Irish to wake up to
Because he likes titties.
Besides, she's Irish too. Her tag says so.
Keep looking for that redheaded camel toe for me, Bro.
Time to start stocking up
I was sitting here a little bit ago thinking about the Great Ammo Scare of ‘08 and got thinking about the same thing happening again.
Those were some trippy times, weren’t they?
Anybody that’s reading this knows what the GAS was so I’m not going to go into explaining it but I’ll damned sure admit that it kinda sorta took me by surprise. Allow me to explain:
I reload my own ammo but I don’t constantly reload like a lot of guys do. I may not load a single bullet for a year or 18 months and all of a sudden I’ll notice that Holy Shit I’m down to my last 100 rounds of whatever, and I’ll unpack my gear and load every fucking piece of brass I can lay my hands on, emerging a week later all red-eyed and covered in gunpowder dust with my right arm bulging from cranking on that Rockchucker, but I’ll have so much ammo laying around I’m tripping over it. So because I do it that way, I tend to buy my powder a few pounds at a time and 5-10,000 primers at a whack. Bullets, I don’t even think about. I bought approximately 2.3 million bullets of every conceivable style and weight during a methamphetamine and whiskey fueled 3 day run back in the mid-80s (that's right, I wasn't always the fine upstanding citizen you all know and love today) and I’m still loading those motherfuckers.
So guess when I ran out of ammo? Right in the middle of the GAS. Now, I had just enough powder and primers for this run, but it was going to leave me high and dry as far as supplies go and I don‘t like to be left high and dry on essentials such as food, Copenhagen and gunpowder, so I started putting out the word that I was looking to score.
I was skulking around gun shows, hitting gun shops in little bitty fucking towns, calling my gun guys at home, asking when their next shipments were due, meeting people on streetcorners.
I was starting to feel like I was doing dope again, man.
I mean, I had gun guys. You shouldn’t need gun guys, but I had ‘em. Friends that I actively cultivated that worked in or owned gun shops, fellow reloaders, shooters that I knew that lived in faraway states back east like Ohio and Florida and Nevada. But it paid off.
{Middle of the night call} “Hey Bro. Whatcha doing?”
“Sleeping. Somebody better be fucking dead.”
“Better than that. My cuz just called and said she’s got a case of primers. Wanna go in half?”
“Kenny? Listen, I’ve got some H110 coming in next week. Would you like me to hold a couple of pounds for you?”
"How ‘bout you hold 5?”
“I’ve got a thousand primers for you sitting in front of me. I’ll hold them for you.”
“Great, I’ll be down Saturday. Thanks, man.”
“No, I’ll hold them til 4 PM tomorrow, After that, they’re going on the shelf.”
“Fuck. I’ll be there.”
Shit, now I’m calling in sick for ammo supplies…..
Then people started calling me. Now I was feeling like I was back to dealing that dope again.
No way in fucking hell was I breaking loose with any of my stash but I was damned sure hooking people up with each other. If I made a commission on every deal I brokered, I’d still be spending that money.
Then I started getting calls from guys that wanted me to load for them. Those deals were hard to turn down - I could’ve tripled my money if I was that way.
Fuck, I remember at one point my uncle mentioned that he was using small rifle primers in his handguns.
“What? That’s fucking stupid, man. You’ve got no idea where your pressure’s at with rifle primers.”
I ended up loaning him 5000 primers.
And let’s not even talk about the prices of powder and primers. Okay, just this: primers more than doubled in price. They dropped some after shit leveled out, but it sure took a lot of the savings out of reloading.
So my whole point here is that we can probably expect the same thing again.
Neither Santorum or Obama Lite are known as friends of 2A, and if Paul gets elected it’ll be a fluke.
Obama is a known enemy of 2A and this will be his last term if he’s re-elected. He has absolutely nothing to lose by completely dumping the Second Amendment and there’s no doubt in my mind that he’ll attempt to severely restrict if not completely eliminate our Right to Bear Arms.
Get ready for the rush, folks. It’s gonna be worse than Black Friday at the Walmart come November, no matter what the outcome is.

DoE seeking to buy urban combat weapons
Here's the last paragraph:
The employee of CAPCO was curious about the solicitations from the Department of Energy and so inquired to a colleague about why that department would want weapons designed for smoking out people and knocking down doors. His colleague answered with a shrug, “They probably want them for training,” and left it at that. Our question is, “Why would the Department of Energy train its agents to smoke people out and knock down doors.” With coal-powered electricity plants and other traditional energy manufacturers in the cross-hairs of the Obama Administration, one can only speculate that the answer threatens the rights of American citizens.

Why you should NEVER talk to a cop without a lawyer present
A law professor AND a policeman explain why you should never never never talk to a policeman about ANYTHING unless you have a lawyer present.
It's almost an hour long. The visual portion itself is nothing but the audio information in it is extremely valuable. If you don't want to sit and listen to it, turn up your computer and do something around the house while you're listening to it.
It may save you a few years.
I want to thank Chris for passing this along to me. I had posted this a year or two back and was going to re-post it today to partner with yesterdays' post about police searches. Chris just saved me a couple hours of work looking for it.
